A Validation Study of Korean Version of the Recovery Self-Assessment(K-RSA) Scale
Kim Mi-Young

Abstract
The aim of this study is to validate the Korean version of the Recovery Self-Assessment(K-RSA) scale which used to assess the perceptions of the degree to which programs implement recovery-oriented practices in mental health services. Data were collected from consumers with serious mental illnesses(N = 378) in 22 community mental health agencies, and internal reliability, factor analyses for validity were performed. The results of the explanatory factor analysis showed K-RSA was comprised of 28 items that excluded 4 items from RSA-R and factor analyses of K-RSA confirmed a multidimensional scale with five factors. K-RSA was confirmed by convergent validity through testing correlations with Empowerment Practice Principle scale and discriminant validity through testing correlations with psychiatric symptoms, age, income and numbers of hospitalization. The reliability coefficients was .947. These findings validate K-RSA as a new recovery-oriented practice instrument in Korea.
